Lotus heads are excellent additions to a shrimp tank, not only do they add beneficial tannins but they also offer a place for shrimp to explore. Shrimp eat these too as they slowly decompose.
To prepare boil or soak. They will need squeezing out to expel the air and enable them to sink once wet.
We cut little slits in the base and add a couple of glass marbles to assist with sinking these buoyant items. Good thinking eh?
