UGF filter sets are excellent for Reducing the amount if active soil needed in a soft water shrimp tank. Fill with a decent active soil and then just use a thin layer of soil on the base if the tank to eliminate build up of toxic waste and gases in the substrate.
These boxes are made by ourselves in the UK using high grade acrylic.
